Iran exported non-oil commodities valued at $673 million to Turkey during the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21), according to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).Foroud Asgari said that Turkey was Iran’s fourth top non-oil export destination in the mentioned two-month period.Exporting commodities valued at $1.367 billion to Iran, Turkey was Iran’s third source of non-oil import in the said time span, the IRICA head added. IRAN REACHES PREFERENTIAL TARIFF DEALS WITH OMAN, PAKISTAN
Iran has reached agreements with Oman and Pakistan to export goods under preferential tariff arrangements, Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Mohammad Atabak announced on Wednesday.Speaking at a ceremony unveiling new foreign currency pre-sale tools and export entitlement trading platforms, Atabak also pointed to Iran’s ongoing preferential trade with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.“The ultimate goal of the government is to facilitate exports and imports freely, without direct state intervention, provided that the Central Bank maintains full oversight to ensure the integrity of transactions,” he said, according to IRNA. Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholam-Reza Nouri, leading a trade-agriculture delegation, left Tehran for Astana, on Tuesday, to attend the meeting of Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Economic Committee.In an interview conducted by IRIB, the minister, before leaving the country, called the main goal of this trip to activate Iran’s joint economic committees with other countries, especially neighboring and target countries, and said: “A group of 120 managers and entrepreneurs from Iran will be present at the 20th Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Economic Committee meeting, which will be held today and tomorrow in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.”Regarding the importance of this trip, he said: “Given the position that Kazakhstan has in Central Asia and is one of the most important countries in this region, and also, given the volume of trade of about five hundred million dollars that we currently have with this country, we are trying to increase this figure to at least three billion dollars. NON-OIL GOODS WORTH $4.2M EXPORTED FROM NORTH KHORASAN PROVINCE IN A MONTH
Non-oil commodities worth $4.208 million were exported from North Khorasan province in the northeast of Iran during the first Iranian calendar month of Farvardin (March 21-April 21, 2025), the director-general of the province announced.Hojjat Amani said that over 10,000 tons of non-oil goods were exported from the province in the mentioned month.The export indicates 24 percent fall in value, and 33 percent drop in weight, as compared to the first month of the previous year, the official noted.He named petrochemical products (urea fertilizer), steel products, and sodium hydroxide as the major exported items, and Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, and Uzbekistan as the main export destinations. IRAN’S MAZANDARAN PROVINCE OPENS TRADE CENTER IN TASHKENT
Iran’s northern Mazandaran province opened a trade center in Uzbekistan’s capital city Tashkent. The inauguration ceremony of the center, which is located in Food City area in Tashkent, was participated by the Iranian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mohammad-Ali Eskandari, as well as Abdollah Mohajeri, a board member of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), and Ali Taqipour, the head of the Chamber of Commerce of Sari city, the center of Mazandaran.Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the Iranian ambassador to Tashkent stated: “The Mazandaran province trade center in Tashkent will help further develop economic and trade relations between Iran and Uzbekistan. TEHRAN PLANS TO EXPAND COOPERATION WITH ROME IN WATER, SOIL SECTORS
Iran underlined on Saturday the development of technical cooperation with Italy, particularly in the fields of water and soil.During a meeting between Iran’s deputy minister of agriculture and the Iranian ambassador to Italy, emphasis was placed on developing technical cooperation with the European country, especially in water and soil, Mehr reported.During this meeting, a report on the status of a recent summit and the necessity of expanding technical relations between Iran and international institutions was presented.Alireza Sabouri, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Rome, pointing to the existing capacities within the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), called for maximizing the use of the organization’s capability in transferring up-to-date technical knowledge and welcomed the expansion of technical relations, especially in the specialized fields of water and soil.
